Shelley is a West Yorkshire based printmaker & Illustrator, taking inspiration from the insects, birds and plant life found along the river and throughout the woodland in which she works with the National Trust.

 

From first picking up a carving tool during the lockdown of 2020, she immediately fell in love with lino carving and printing, often sharing her work on her social media channels. This led to the creation of Halliday-Creative.

 

A fondness of geometric shapes and symmetry is evident throughout Shelley's work, as well as a great love of beetles and moths. She very much enjoys the process involved in the production of printmaking and can often be found covered in ink, sharing her love of the craft with others through the beginners lino print workshops she runs throughout the year from her studio in Slaithwaite.
